“I intend to attend to the repercussions of my choices, embracing the lessons I learn”.
“Cherish This” is part of the Occupy Series. The series, (I Occupy Myself), was inspired by a performance at the “4th Wall” theater in Los Angeles. Words and phrases were called out, translated and projected onto the model’s body where they were then painted like a tattoo. What began as a compositional challenge developed a psychological and spiritual component for both the model and myself. Each body position the dancer made “spoke” to me.
“Cherish This” honors the journey a woman makes though owning her decisions and making amends.
